Have you ever wished you could travel to a Disney park without actually having to travel? Well, wish granted with this new musical imagined and performed by Jordan Li-Smith and Ayesha Patel.

During the course of the show, we follow the pair as they go on the perfect day at Disneyland (or Disneyworld, it's still unclear). With features from some of the most iconic park tunes, they take us on an adventure full of thrills and childhood nostalgia. And we can't forget about the seemingly endless line of Disney memorabilia.

As someone who loves the Disneyland Paris park, I adore the idea of sharing my passion and seeing it represented on stage. From my personal favourite tune from Phantom Manor to my trauma on Crush's Coaster, I really felt seen. Special mention to the iconic Jungle Cruise Skipper and Ursula, Henry Calvert and Esme Bowdler as our lucky guests.

This show was deeply personal, and that is what makes it so beautiful. And surprisingly funny. However, there were moments when the jokes felt slightly too rehearsed. Minor sour note aside, this duo did not disappoint. Ayesha Patel has such a gorgeous voice with incredible power, and her partnership with Jordan Li-Smith feels like an inevitability. They complement each other very nicely.

The orchestrations deserve particular praise - the arrangements gave familiar melodies a real freshness, and the two performers clearly relished the material they'd been given. Pacing was the one place the show wobbled a little, with the energy dipping in patches rather than holding steady across the full hundred minutes. That said, this isn't unexpected for a new piece still in development.

As a new musical, this piece still needs a bit of work. This does not, however, mean that this evening's performance was anything less than completely joyful.
